Role & Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and execute styling direction for seasonal collections, lookbooks, and internal presentations in line with Chanel aesthetic and creative briefs.
- Produce technical sketches, moodboards and detailed outfit specifications to support patternmakers and ateliers during sample development.
- Coordinate fittings with models and clients; direct fit sessions and prescribe precise garment adjustments to achieve couture-level finishes.
- Liaise daily with design, patternmaking, textiles and atelier teams to ensure fidelity to silhouette, fabric behavior and construction constraints.
- Source and specify accessories, trims and fabrics when required; manage relationships with trusted suppliers and ateliers.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for assigned shoots, shows or presentations while working to freelance contract constraints.
- Prepare and present professional portfolios and sample looks for creative reviews and cross-functional approvals.
- Ensure strict adherence to brand codes, quality expectations and confidentiality norms related to luxury product development.
Qualifications
- Proven portfolio demonstrating high-end styling, couture or luxury ready-to-wear projects.
- Demonstrable experience collaborating with ateliers, patternmakers and technical teams on fit and finish.
- Excellent eye for proportion, fabric behavior and garment construction specific to luxury categories.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple freelance assignments and meet tight production deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and discretion when working with proprietary creative content and high-profile collaborators.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in styling, fashion design, or couture environments, with a proven track record of freelance or contract assignments for luxury brands or editorial projects.
Education
Diploma or degree in fashion design, fashion styling, or equivalent professional training; exceptional portfolio may substitute for formal qualifications.
