Chanel seeks a Fragrance Specialist for John Lewis Oxford Street in London. Represent Chanel fragrances, deliver personalised client service and achieve sales targets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service and in‑store consultations at the Chanel fragrance concession within John Lewis Oxford Street.
- Demonstrate and communicate fragrance stories, olfactory composition and product benefits to drive trial and conversion.
- Achieve and exceed individual and concession sales targets, including upselling and recommending complementary products.
- Manage product merchandising, sampling programmes and visual standards to reflect Chanel brand guidelines.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, process transactions and maintain accurate till reconciliations and cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain stock integrity through inventory checks, replenishment and accurate record-keeping with the store team.
- Support in‑store activations, client events and education sessions; participate in ongoing product and service training.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver luxury-level customer service with professionalism and polished presentation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with consultative selling and building client relationships.
- Knowledge of fragrance families, notes and application techniques, or demonstrable aptitude to learn perfumery quickly.
- Numerical accuracy and experience with cash handling and point-of-sale operations.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1+ years' experience in beauty, fragrance or luxury retail, with a track record of meeting sales targets and delivering high-touch customer service.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in beauty, cosmetics or perfumery is advantageous but not required.
