Chanel in Hamburg seeks a Werkstudent (Fragrance & Beauty) to support boutique sales, client service and merchandising at CHANEL Parfums & Beauté.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client service at the CHANEL Parfums & Beauté boutique, including personalised consultations and product recommendations.
  • Support daily sales operations: assist with point‑of‑sale transactions, appointment management and clienteling activities.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and product presentation to luxury brand standards, including replenishment and sample management.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, receiving and basic stock reconciliations.
  • Contribute to boutique events, product launches and promotional activities, including set‑up and guest reception.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as client file updates, CRM entry and coordination with the boutique management team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a university or equivalent tertiary education and eligible to work as a Werkstudent in Germany.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and strong affinity for luxury beauty and fragrance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑centric attitude.
  • Flexible availability including weekends and some evenings.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work collaboratively in a high‑paced retail environment.

Skills

High level of clienteling and sales aptitude Visual merchandising and product presentation Point‑of‑sale (POS) operations and cash handling Basic inventory control and stock management CRM data entry and appointment scheduling Proficient time management and teamwork

Experience

Previous customer‑facing retail or luxury beauty experience is preferred but not mandatory; demonstrable enthusiasm for cosmetics and perfumes and a service‑oriented attitude are essential.

Education

Enrolment in a university or higher education programme (Bachelor or Master level preferred); studies in business, marketing, fashion, communications, or related fields advantageous.
