Chanel seeks a Fragrance & Beauty Sales Consultant at Fenwick York to deliver luxury client service and drive beauty sales in York.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised luxury client service to drive fragrance and beauty sales within Fenwick York.
- Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets and KPIs through proactive clienteling, upselling and cross-selling.
- Provide expert product recommendations and conduct beauty consultations, including fragrance profiling, makeup application and skincare regimens.
- Maintain brand visual merchandising standards, stock replenishment and product presentation on the counter and in displays.
- Manage transactions, returns and loyalty or CRM activity accurately using in-store POS and follow established cash-handling procedures.
- Develop and grow a client book through appointment booking, follow-up, aftercare and participation in events, launches and masterclasses.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health & safety guidelines and Chanel’s retail policies; participate in ongoing brand training.
Qualifications
- Proven retail sales experience, preferably within luxury beauty, fragrance or cosmetics.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and building lasting client relationships.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to deliver discreet, high-touch service.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and seasonal peak periods.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of hands-on experience in luxury beauty, fragrance or cosmetics retail; proven evidence of achieving sales targets and building a client book within a premium retail environment.
Education
No formal higher-education requirement; GCSEs/A‑levels or equivalent. Vocational or cosmetology qualifications (e.g., beauty therapy) are advantageous.
