Chanel seeks a Fragrance & Beauty Sales Consultant (part-time) at John Lewis White City, London — deliver luxury client service and drive beauty sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, consultative selling of fragrance and beauty products to a discerning clientele within the John Lewis White City concession.
- Build and maintain a high-value client book through proactive clienteling, follow-up, and appointment management.
- Achieve and exceed individual and concession sales targets while maximising average transaction value via upselling and cross-selling.
- Provide expert product demonstrations, fragrance layering and makeup application, advising clients on product benefits and usage.
- Ensure the concession reflects Chanel visual merchandising and brand standards, including sample presentation, stock rotation and display upkeep.
- Operate point-of-sale, process transactions accurately, and assist with stock management, deliveries and inventory counts.
- Represent the brand at promotional events, product launches and in-store activations; maintain impeccable personal presentation and hygiene.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience in prestige beauty, fragrance or cosmetics (typically 1+ years preferred).
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and developing client relationships.
- Right to work in the UK and availability to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings.
- High personal grooming standards and a professional, client-focused demeanour.
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling competence; experience with POS systems preferred.
Skills
Experience
Experience in luxury or premium beauty retail is preferred; candidates should demonstrate prior success in sales, client relationship management and working within a concession or department store environment.
Education
Secondary education (GCSE/A-level or equivalent). Beauty or retail vocational qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
