Chanel seeks a Part-time Fragrance & Beauty Sales Consultant in Bristol (Boots, Cabot Circus) to deliver luxury client service and drive counter sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary, personalised client service on the Chanel beauty counter within the Boots concession, building lasting client relationships through consultative sales and follow-up.
- Present and demonstrate Chanel fragrance and cosmetics with authoritative product knowledge, tailoring recommendations to individual client needs and preferences.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPI metrics through proactive clienteling, cross-selling and upselling of complementary products and services.
- Maintain immaculate brand presentation: merchandising, visual standards, counter housekeeping and stock replenishment to Chanel specifications.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, manage transactions and process returns in accordance with retailer and Chanel procedures.
- Support stock control activities including receiving deliveries, cycle counts and accurate record-keeping to minimise shrinkage.
- Participate in training, product launches and promotional activities to ensure up-to-date knowledge of ranges, launches and brand campaigns.
- Adhere to health, safety and regulatory requirements for cosmetic sampling, hygiene and product handling while safeguarding the Chanel brand experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in beauty retail, department store counter or concession sales—preferably within prestige or luxury cosmetics.
- Demonstrable expertise in fragrances and colour cosmetics with the ability to translate product benefits into consultative recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client‑centric demeanour and proven ability to build repeat business.
- Flexible availability including weekends and peak retail hours to support store trading patterns.
- Right to work in the UK and basic numeracy for transactional responsibilities.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of one year’s experience in beauty retail or at a cosmetics counter is preferred; prior experience within a prestige or luxury cosmetics environment is advantageous.
Education
Secondary education (GCSEs or equivalent). Formal qualifications or vocational training in beauty therapy or cosmetics are beneficial but not required.
