Chanel seeks Fragrance & Beauty Director for travel retail UK, Ireland & South Africa. Lead luxury category management and partner relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fragrance and beauty category strategies tailored to travel retail channels across UK, Ireland, and South Africa
- Manage P&L performance and drive revenue growth through category optimization and promotional initiatives
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key travel retail partners and duty-free operators
- Oversee merchandising, visual displays, and in-store brand activation to maximize consumer engagement
- Lead and mentor regional team members, ensuring brand standards and service excellence across all locations
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform category planning and assortment decisions
- Coordinate with headquarters on product launches, seasonal campaigns, and inventory allocation
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in luxury beauty, fragrance, or travel retail management
- Proven track record in category management and P&L responsibility within premium or luxury segments
- Strong understanding of travel retail dynamics, duty-free operations, and airport channel specifics
- Demonstrated excellence in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
- Strategic thinking combined with strong commercial and analytical capabilities
Skills
Experience
5–7 years of progressive experience in luxury beauty, fragrance merchandising, or premium retail environments, with demonstrated success in category management, P&L ownership, and leadership of regional or multi-location operations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification preferred.
