Chanel seeks a Fragrance & Beauty Advisor in Santa Clara, CA (Valley Fair) to deliver luxury client service and drive beauty sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised fragrance and beauty consultations that reflect Chanel’s heritage and product expertise, converting consultations into sales.
- Provide makeup application and product demonstrations tailored to clients’ needs and occasion, ensuring an exceptional in-store experience.
- Develop and maintain a proprietary client book through proactive outreach, follow-up and appointment management to maximise client retention and lifetime value.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales KPIs, including average transaction value and conversion metrics.
- Maintain visual merchandising and product presentation to Chanel standards, including sampling displays and tester replenishment.
- Process transactions, manage stock levels, handle receiving and returns, and ensure accurate reconciliation of point-of-sale records.
- Participate in brand-led training, product launches and promotional initiatives; represent the brand at events as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in luxury retail or prestige beauty sales, with demonstrable results against sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a consultative selling style and strong clienteling capability.
- Professional grooming, refined presentation and the ability to represent a high-fashion luxury maison.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and peak retail periods.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year of direct experience in prestige beauty or luxury retail, preferably with exposure to fragrance and cosmetics categories and a track record of meeting sales KPIs.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology/esthetician certification or formal beauty training preferred but not required.
