Chanel is hiring a Fragrance & Beauty Advisor in San Diego (UTC) — deliver luxury beauty consultations and drive sales for Chanel fragrances and cosmetics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary client service and personalised consultations for fragrance, makeup and skincare in accordance with Chanel standards.
- Provide expert product demonstrations, makeup application and tailored recommendations to convert trials into sales and build long-term client relationships.
- Achieve individual and boutique sales targets while actively building and maintaining a client portfolio through proactive outreach and follow-up.
- Execute merchandising, stock replenishment and inventory control to maintain boutique presentation and product availability.
- Process transactions and maintain accurate records in the point-of-sale system while ensuring compliance with payment and security procedures.
- Represent the brand at in-store events and product launches, and participate in ongoing training to maintain product and technique expertise.
- Adhere to Chanel visual, hygiene and regulatory standards, including presentation, sampling protocols and client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology/esthetician certification preferred where required by state law.
- Professional demeanour with impeccable personal presentation consistent with luxury brand expectations.
- Availability to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by boutique operations.
- Ability to pass background checks and any locally required employment screenings.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of retail experience; preference for candidates with prior experience in prestige beauty or luxury fashion environments. Direct experience with luxury fragrance or cosmetic brands is highly desirable.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology/esthetician qualification preferred where applicable.
