Chanel seeks a Fragrance & Beauty Advisor in Glendale, USA to deliver luxury client consultations and drive beauty sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalized fragrance and beauty consultations to clients, delivering product demonstrations and bespoke recommendations aligned with Chanel standards.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through proactive client acquisition, cross-selling and relationship development.
- Develop and maintain a client portfolio using systematic clienteling practices; schedule follow-ups and invite clients to product launches and events.
- Ensure immaculate visual merchandising of counters and displays to brand guidelines; participate in seasonal resets and product launches.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions and manage returns with accuracy and discretion.
- Maintain stock integrity: receive merchandise, perform inventory checks and communicate replenishment needs to store management.
- Deliver product knowledge training to colleagues when required and remain current on Chanel fragrance, skincare and makeup assortments.
- Adhere to hygiene, safety and luxury service protocols; represent the brand with professional presentation and discretion at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven retail sales experience in prestige fragrances, cosmetics or skincare (preferably 1–3 years).
- Demonstrable expertise in fragrance and beauty product knowledge with the ability to translate technical benefits into client-friendly language.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a consultative selling approach, with a focus on creating long-term client relationships.
- Strong numeracy and transactional accuracy; comfortable working with POS systems and basic inventory processes.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Cosmetology, esthetician certification or formal beauty training is advantageous but not mandatory.
