CHANEL seeks a full-time, in-store Fragrance and Beauty Advisor in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, to deliver exceptional client service, build lasting relationships, and achieve sales targets. The role combines beauty and fragrance expertise with omnichannel client engagement, event demonstrations, and upkeep of a polished, hygienic work area. The anticipated base pay range is $25–$30.90 hourly; variable pay may also be offered.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver superior service to every client each day through the CHANEL service ritual.
- Build client relationships and loyalty through personal connection and trust.
- Achieve sales targets and grow the business by using products, services, and data capture to recruit, retain, and build loyalty among clients.
- Attend seasonal seminars hosted by Education Executives and use the Inside Beauty learning application daily to apply the training.
- Maintain an omnichannel mindset to create a seamless client experience between in-store and online channels.
- Address and resolve client situations in line with company philosophy and standards, partnering with appropriate teams as needed.
- Explain upcoming events to clients and involve them through introductions and demonstrations.
- Share knowledge of the Brand, its heritage, and know-how with clients and colleagues.
- Understand business challenges, client needs, and the surrounding market.
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, hygienic, and professional, and follow Visual Merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain a positive attitude, communicate regularly with the team and manager, and demonstrate ethics and integrity.
- Treat others with respect, acknowledge cultural differences, and remain open to learning from them.
Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively.
- Understanding of and passion for client experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Foreign language skills are preferred but not required.
- Passion for CHANEL, its history, product offerings, and commitment to social and cultural initiatives.
- Curiosity and desire to learn and grow professionally within the world of CHANEL.
- Knowledgeable and articulate about cosmetics and fragrance.
- Artistry skills and direct Brand experience are preferred.
- Passion for CHANEL Beauty products.
- Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Full-time, in-store and in-person presence is required to support client sales and service and drive business results.
