Chanel is hiring an FP&A Analyst in Panama City — lead budgeting, forecasting and management reporting to support commercial finance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasts, budgets and reforecasts; consolidate inputs and ensure alignment with corporate targets.
- Deliver variance analysis and insightful commentary on actuals vs. budget/forecast to explain drivers and recommend corrective actions.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and scenario analyses to support planning, pricing and investment decisions.
- Produce management reporting packages and presentation materials for local and regional leadership and contribute to executive reporting.
- Partner closely with commercial, merchandising and operations teams to translate business performance into financial metrics and KPIs.
- Support periodic business reviews, strategic initiatives and ad-hoc financial projects, ensuring robust data and clear recommendations.
- Own data integrity within FP&A systems and support continuous improvement of processes, tools and dashboarding.
- Assist with month-end close activities as required and liaise with accounting to reconcile operational and statutory results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a closely related discipline.
- Professional certification (CFA, ACCA, CPA) or a master’s degree is desirable but not required.
- Strong analytical and modelling capability with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to synthesise complex financial information into concise management-level reporting.
- Effective communicator, able to influence cross-functional stakeholders and present to senior management.
- High level of commercial awareness and ability to operate in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance or management reporting; experience within luxury retail, fashion, consumer goods or a matrixed multinational is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related; master’s degree or professional accounting/finance qualification preferred.
