Chanel — Finance Intern (AP) in Amsterdam: internship supporting accounts payable, invoice processing and month‑end reconciliations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices end-to-end: validate, code, match to purchase orders and post in the ERP.
- Prepare and support payment runs, ensuring compliance with payment terms and internal controls.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support month‑end closing tasks related to accounts payable and prepare ad‑hoc reporting for finance managers.
- Maintain and update vendor master data; assist with supplier onboarding and documentation checks.
- Contribute to improvements in AP processes, controls and documentation to support audit readiness.
- Liaise with Purchasing, Treasury and other cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve invoice issues.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong numerical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to transactional work.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage a steady volume of routine accounting tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly with suppliers and cross‑functional colleagues.
- High integrity and respect for confidentiality when handling financial information.
- Prior internship or coursework in accounting/accounts payable is desirable.

Internship-level: 0–1 years. Prior exposure to accounting or accounts payable through internships, part‑time work or academic projects preferred.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
