Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic visual merchandising strategies aligned with seasonal campaigns and boutique-specific objectives (One Boutique, One Story philosophy)
- Train and mentor boutique teams and management on Chanel's visual merchandising guidelines, standards, and best practices
- Conduct regular boutique visits to audit, refresh, and optimize window displays and in-boutique presentations for brand consistency and merchandising excellence
- Orchestrate strategic planning of display rotations to enhance brand image, retail presence, and client engagement across all locations
- Manage visual merchandising props and tools inventory, ensuring efficient stock control, proper storage, and sustainable asset utilization
- Partner with retail management to align visual displays with business objectives while maintaining Chanel's brand identity and point of difference
- Reinforce key strategic directions and campaign priorities across the fashion division to ensure seamless implementation and visual coherence
- Adapt and implement visual merchandising strategies in response to market dynamics, client preferences, and evolving luxury retail trends
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of fashion styling, merchandising principles, and luxury retail visual display
- Proven ability to develop and execute visual merchandising strategies at a multi-location or boutique network level
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and SketchUp, or equivalent design software
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with retail operations and management teams
- Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning, heritage, and the strategic role of visual merchandising in retail performance
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in visual merchandising, luxury retail, or brand experience roles, with demonstrated success in executing displays across multiple boutique or retail locations. Prior experience collaborating with retail management and training boutique teams on visual standards is essential.
Education
Upper secondary education (high school diploma) or equivalent. Formal training in fashion merchandising, retail design, or visual arts is preferred.
