Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor, Watches & Fine Jewelry in Palo Alto to deliver personalised luxury service and grow clientele for its watch and jewelry collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service to high-net-worth and aspirational clients for both watch and fine jewelry collections.
- Develop and maintain a proprietary client portfolio through proactive prospecting, clienteling and follow-up using CRM tools.
- Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets while maximising average transaction value and conversion.
- Demonstrate authoritative product knowledge on timepieces and jewellery, advising clients on technical features, provenance and care.
- Coordinate appointments, private viewings and in-store events; collaborate with the team to execute VIP visits and trunk shows.
- Ensure impeccable visual merchandising and presentation of showcases according to brand standards; perform stock rotation and secure handling of high-value items.
- Liaise with after-sales service, repairs and internal watch/jewelry specialists to ensure seamless client experiences and warranty handling.
- Maintain strict compliance with loss-prevention, cash handling and regulatory procedures for high-value goods.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in luxury retail sales, ideally with specific experience in watches and/or fine jewelry.
- Demonstrable ability to build and retain a high-value client book and meet sales KPIs.
- Polished professional presentation, discretion and service orientation appropriate for an ultra-luxury clientele.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends, evenings and during special events; legal authorization to work in the USA.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2+ years of direct experience in luxury retail sales, with at least some exposure to watches or fine jewelry; proven ability to manage a client portfolio and meet regular sales targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary education in hospitality, business, merchandising or a related discipline preferred but not required.
