Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor at Haneda Airport, Tokyo — client-facing travel retail role delivering luxury service and sales in the boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service to international and Japanese travellers in a high‑volume airport boutique, consistently meeting sales KPIs and conversion targets.
- Proactively develop and maintain client relationships through follow-up, clienteling tools and tailored product recommendations to drive repeat purchase and client loyalty.
- Demonstrate authoritative product knowledge across Chanel’s fashion, leather goods and accessory ranges; advise clients on styling, sizing and care.
- Operate point‑of‑sale systems, process duty‑free transactions where applicable, handle cash and electronic payments with accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain boutique standards including visual merchandising, stock replenishment, inventory control and adherence to brand presentation protocols.
- Collaborate with airport security, operations and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth passenger flows and compliance with travel‑retail regulations and customs procedures.
- Contribute to loss‑prevention measures and ensure secure handling of high‑value merchandise.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience with at least 1–2 years in a client‑facing sales role; luxury or travel retail experience preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, polished deportment and the ability to sell consultatively to international clientele.
- Eligibility to work in Japan and ability to pass airport security/clearance requirements for Haneda Airport operations.
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; ability to work on shift patterns common to airport boutiques.
- Fluency in Japanese is assumed for local hiring; additional languages are advantageous for international clientele (language requirements not specified).

Customer‑facing retail experience is required; 1–3 years in luxury retail or travel retail is preferred, with demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and manage high‑value merchandise.
Education
