Chanel is hiring a Fashion Advisor in Short Hills, NJ — deliver luxury client service and drive boutique sales for the Chanel Short Hills boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service and develop long-term relationships through proactive clienteling and follow-up.
- Achieve individual and boutique sales targets through consultative selling, product storytelling and service-driven experiences.
- Curate and maintain visual merchandising and product presentation to Chanel standards, ensuring the boutique reflects the maison’s aesthetic.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions, returns and client records accurately and confidentially.
- Support inventory control, stock replenishment and receiving; coordinate with store management on product allocations and special orders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to execute in-store events, private appointments and trunk shows.
- Remain current on Chanel collections, heritage, materials and craftsmanship to advise clients authoritatively.
- Uphold brand presentation, grooming and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in luxury retail or high-end client-facing sales.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and develop repeat clientele.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a polished, professional appearance appropriate for a luxury maison.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and discretion when handling client information.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or coursework in fashion, merchandising or luxury retail preferred.

1–2 years of demonstrable experience in luxury retail, boutique sales or high-end client advising with a track record of achieving sales targets and cultivating client relationships.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in fashion, merchandising, or luxury retail is advantageous.
