Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor at Neiman Marcus Paramus, NJ. Represent the brand, cultivate clients and deliver exceptional luxury retail service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent Chanel within the Neiman Marcus Paramus environment, delivering immaculate branded presentation and adhering to Chanel visual and service standards.
- Develop and maintain enduring relationships with clients through proactive clienteling, personalised styling and timely follow-up to cultivate repeat business and loyalty.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets through consultative selling, cross-selling across categories and expert product recommendations.
- Manage client appointments, fittings and private presentations; coordinate with store management and Chanel wholesale contacts to optimise client experiences and events.
- Maintain accurate client records and CRM notes, process transactions using POS systems, and ensure proper handling of luxury merchandise and after-sales service.
- Support inventory control, stockroom organisation, and periodic merchandising resets to preserve assortment integrity and visual coherence.
- Observe loss-prevention protocols and maintain discretion and confidentiality with VIP clientele and sensitive transactions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in luxury retail or premium wholesale environments; prior work with designer ready-to-wear, handbags, accessories or fine apparel is strongly preferred.
- Proven history of client acquisition and retention, with the ability to cultivate relationships across a discerning clientele.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; polished presentation and professional discretion when interacting with high-net-worth customers.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods; ability to stand for extended periods and travel occasionally between store events.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in luxury or high-end retail sales, ideally within a boutique or department store concession environment representing a designer or heritage brand.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or degree in fashion, retail, merchandising or communications is advantageous but not required.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Paramus, New Jersey, USA, with easy access to New York.
