Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor at Nordstrom Topanga in Los Angeles to deliver luxury client service and drive sales on behalf of the house.
Role & Responsibilities
- Represent the Chanel brand at the Nordstrom Topanga concession with impeccable professionalism and adherence to brand standards
- Deliver personalized, high-touch client service and cultivate long-term relationships through proactive clienteling and appointment management
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets while maximizing average transaction value and conversion rates
- Maintain comprehensive product knowledge across ready-to-wear, accessories, leather goods, fragrance and beauty ranges to advise clients authoritatively
- Execute merchandising and visual standards for display, stock presentation and replenishment according to Chanel guidelines
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, handle transactions, returns and client documentation, and support inventory control and loss-prevention procedures
- Collaborate with the store team and Chanel management on events, trunk shows and private client appointments
Qualifications
- Demonstrated retail sales experience, preferably within luxury fashion or beauty (1–3 years recommended)
- Track record of meeting sales targets and delivering exceptional client service
- Strong interpersonal skills, discretion and a polished professional presence appropriate for a haute couture brand
- Availability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and holiday periods
- Authorization to work in the United States
Skills
Experience
Approximately 1–3 years of retail sales experience, with preference given to candidates who have worked for luxury fashion or beauty houses or within high-end department store environments.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in fashion, merchandising or hospitality is advantageous but not required.
