Chanel is hiring a Fashion Advisor in Kuala Lumpur to deliver luxury client service and drive boutique sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver discreet, personalised client service that reflects Chanel’s standards, cultivating long-term relationships and repeat business.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets through proactive clienteling, in-person consultations and follow-up.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge across couture, ready-to-wear, accessories and beauty; advise clients on styling, fit and care.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions and manage returns, exchanges and after-sales service according to brand procedures.
  • Sustain boutique presentation standards through visual merchandising, stock replenishment, inventory controls and loss-prevention measures.
  • Coordinate appointments, private viewings and special client events in collaboration with the boutique team and regional clienteling specialists.
  • Prepare sales reporting and contribute insights on local market trends, client preferences and competitive activity to the management team.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in luxury retail or premium fashion sales, ideally within a high-end brand or boutique environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-first orientation and the ability to build trust with a discerning clientele.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to close sales while safeguarding brand standards.
  • High level of personal presentation and a professional demeanour consistent with luxury retail expectations.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and peak seasonal periods; willingness to participate in client events and private appointments.

Experience

Typically 1–3 years of progressive experience in luxury or premium retail sales, with demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention within a boutique setting.

Education

Secondary education or equivalent; vocational training or diploma in fashion, retail or hospitality is an advantage.
