Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor (Fragrance & Beauty) in Palo Alto — client-facing role delivering luxury fragrance and cosmetics service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client experiences in fragrance and makeup through consultations, product demonstrations and applications.
- Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets and KPIs through proactive selling and clienteling.
- Conduct skin and fragrance profiling to recommend appropriate skincare, scent and cosmetic solutions.
- Manage client relationships using CRM tools: build and maintain client files, follow up on appointments and service requests.
- Maintain merchandising, visual standards and product displays in accordance with Chanel brand guidelines.
- Process transactions, returns and exchanges accurately using POS systems and ensure stock integrity through regular inventory checks.
- Participate in boutique events, launches and bespoke client experiences; collaborate with the team to optimise store performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales within prestige beauty, cosmetics or fragrance (preferred 1–3 years).
- Demonstrable ability to deliver personalised beauty consultations and makeup applications.
- Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills with a client-first orientation.
- Comfortable working to measurable sales targets and using CRM/POS systems.
- Availability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of customer-facing experience in luxury beauty, cosmetics or fragrance retail. Prior work with prestige or designer beauty brands is highly regarded.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, beauty or makeup certification preferred but not required.
