Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor at Neiman Marcus, Chicago, IL to deliver personalised luxury client service and commercial results.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver highly personalised, discreet client service and bespoke styling within the Neiman Marcus Chicago environment to protect and elevate the Chanel client experience.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of clients through proactive clienteling: appointment management, follow-ups, private viewings and tailored recommendations.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs through consultative selling and effective closing techniques.
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge across ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories and beauty; communicate product provenance, craftsmanship and fit with authority.
- Maintain boutique presentation standards, assist with visual merchandising and ensure stockroom accuracy and replenishment.
- Process transactions accurately via POS, manage returns and exchanges in line with brand and retailer procedures, and safeguard inventory through attentive loss-prevention practice.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Neiman Marcus store teams and Chanel specialists; attend brand trainings, seasonal launches and merchandising briefings.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years' experience in luxury retail, high-end department store or boutique sales, preferably with apparel or accessories.
- Proven record of delivering exceptional client service and meeting sales objectives in a premium retail environment.
- Polished personal presentation, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and peak seasonal periods.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of direct experience in luxury or premium retail sales—ideally within a department store or boutique—demonstrating consistent sales performance, client development and familiarity with high-end fashion assortments.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in fashion, merchandising, business or a related discipline preferred.
