Chanel Facility Manager in Shanghai, China. Oversee maintenance, building operations, and capital projects across all China offices.
Role & Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive facilities maintenance plans across all China offices with systematic data tracking, SOPs, scorecards, and SLA management
- Establish and perform internal audit processes to optimize maintenance management systems and vendor performance
- Oversee day-to-day building operations including HVAC, fire systems, electrical, water, and sewage systems in collaboration with landlords and property management
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle including bid processes, tender administration, budget tracking, and Capex investment oversight with documentation and compliance controls
- Track and manage Opex and Capex budgets, provide accurate forecasts, conduct vendor selection, and maintain categorized historical records and vendor guidelines
- Lead facility maintenance technicians, define performance and developmental goals, and provide coaching to junior staff and broader admin team members
- Coordinate across internal stakeholders (Admin Daily Service Team, HR, Finance, Legal) and external parties (landlords, FM vendors, maintenance contractors) to ensure seamless operations
- Support the implementation of digital facilities management systems (EMS) to enhance workplace environment and employee experience
- Establish risk control protocols, facility inventory management, and spare parts systems across all office locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, project management, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in facility hard services management with supervisory knowledge of operations and maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and local environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end building services preferred
- Strong analytical, planning, reporting, and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and performance reviews
- Budget management and cost forecasting competency
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years in facility hard services management with supervisory responsibility for operations and maintenance teams. Background in luxury hospitality or premium building services is preferred. Demonstrated success managing multi-site facilities operations, vendor performance, and capital project administration.
Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, project management, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating advanced technical and operational knowledge.
