Chanel Facility Manager in Seoul, Korea – oversee luxury retail and office facilities operations, maintenance, and projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive facilities management strategies across boutiques and offices
  • Design, implement, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all facilities
  • Manage security, cleaning, pest control, repair, and amenities across all locations
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and innovative solutions
  • Oversee the care, maintenance, and replacement of specialized art pieces and materials
  • Respond swiftly to ad-hoc and emergency facility issues to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Manage facility security systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to landlord and government requirements with transparent documentation for audit readiness
  • Oversee office expansion, renovation, and retrofit projects aligned with workplace experience standards
  • Support boutique expansion and renovation projects led by the Retail Store Design team
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full alignment with Chanel brand standards
  • Coordinate contractors, landlords, and building management to ensure smooth project execution
  • Build and manage strong partnerships with external service providers and vendors
  • Monitor vendor performance against Service Level Agreements and quality standards
  • Negotiate, review, and approve contracts and service agreements to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Track contract expiry dates and proactively initiate re-procurement
  • Ensure accurate processing of contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payments
  • Develop, manage, and control the facilities maintenance budget
  • Track expenditures and maintain disciplined budget planning and forecasting
  • Analyze maintenance and energy costs to identify savings opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety, and occupational health and safety regulations
  • Partner with building management companies to implement preventive maintenance and safety programs
  • Implement initiatives to promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive working environment
  • Support regular audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills
  • Implement sustainable practices and green building initiatives with the Sustainability team
  • Support the execution of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
  • Partner with People Experience to deliver employee wellness and workplace experience initiatives
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the workplace environment
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and the business on workplace-related matters
  • Ensure timely and consistent communication on workplace updates, changes, and incidents

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in facilities management with responsibility for multi-story commercial buildings
  • Experience within luxury retail, hospitality, or premium corporate environments strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Property Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Fire Protection, or related fields
  • Strong hands-on experience with IT and audio-visual systems, core building electrical and mechanical systems
  • In-depth understanding of building infrastructure, systems, and operations
  • Solid experience managing suppliers, contractors, and service providers
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proven capability to manage multiple priorities and high volumes of operational requests
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team with a focus on development and mentoring
  • Proven experience and competencies in project management
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and SharePoint

Experience

Education
