Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the fabric development team in the creation and refinement of textile samples for couture and ready-to-wear collections.
  • Coordinate sample requests and follow-up with external mills and internal ateliers, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
  • Assist with laboratory testing, color matching, hand-feel evaluations and technical assessments of textiles and trims.
  • Prepare and maintain technical packs, fabric swatch libraries and sample tracking records.
  • Participate in fittings, workshops and team reviews; document feedback and action points for successive sampling rounds.
  • Contribute to material research by sourcing references, trend boards and sustainable alternatives under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognised programme in textile engineering, fashion technology, material science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in textile construction, yarns, finishing techniques and quality control procedures.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to maintain sample logs and technical documentation.
  • Professional communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
