Role & Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of client-facing and brand events in New York, from concept through post-event reporting, ensuring alignment with Chanel’s brand standards.
- Manage logistics including venue sourcing, vendor selection and negotiation, production schedules, shipping, and on-site setup and breakdown.
- Coordinate guest lists, invitations, RSVP tracking and VIP/press relations in close collaboration with clienteling, PR and boutique teams.
- Oversee event budgets and purchase orders, track expenses, and ensure cost controls while maintaining high service levels.
- Serve as on-site event lead for assigned activations, supervising contractors and staff and ensuring flawless guest experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (marketing, retail, creative, legal) to integrate creative direction, messaging and compliance requirements.
- Prepare post-event summaries, metrics and recommendations to measure impact and inform future programming.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on event coordination experience, preferably within luxury fashion, beauty, hospitality or high-end experiential agencies.
- Proven ability to manage vendors, timelines and budgets for premium events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with polished client-facing manner and discretion handling VIP guests.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel as event schedules require.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and comfortable learning event management platforms.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of event coordination or production experience, ideally within a luxury brand, high-end hospitality or agency environment; experience with VIP or client events strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in hospitality, communications, marketing or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
