Chanel seeks an Event Specialist in Tokyo to plan and execute luxury fashion events tailored to the Japanese market, coordinating with global teams and partners.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and execute event projects tailored to the Japanese market in accordance with global guidelines, ensuring alignment with Chanel brand standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments and external vendors to oversee project scope, provide comprehensive oversight, and coordinate all event logistics
- Manage presentations, alignment meetings, and approval processes within tight timelines, leveraging advanced communication capabilities with both the Fashion Division and global stakeholders
- Execute event projects with agility and adaptability, responding swiftly and composedly to changes and unforeseen adjustments while maintaining brand integrity
- Coordinate simultaneous communications across multiple internal and external parties, ensuring seamless information flow and stakeholder alignment throughout project lifecycles
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese at N1 level or native speaker proficiency (mandatory)
- Advanced English proficiency with demonstrated ability to deliver presentations, create and review business documents, and communicate effectively with international teams; TOEIC score of 800 or above required
- Strong interest in high-quality event coordination and promotional activities that authentically represent the Chanel brand identity
- Proficiency in spatial design, interior décor, and creative execution with demonstrated understanding of how design elevates brand experiences
- Ability to think systematically and logically while remaining flexible and responsive to strategic course corrections
- Proven multitasking capability with capacity to manage complex communications and deliverables across multiple departments and vendors simultaneously
