Chanel Japan seeks Event Specialist for Fragrance & Beauty division in Tokyo to oversee strategic events and brand activations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop strategic event plans aligned with Fragrance & Beauty divisional objectives and brand equity standards
- Manage end-to-end event execution, including planning, budgeting, logistics coordination, and operational supervision
- Negotiate and collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to optimize event quality and cost efficiency
- Lead cross-functional partnerships with internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Education, PR, Media & Communication, and Purchasing to ensure cohesive brand representation
- Develop and implement brand activation strategies in collaboration with PR, corporate affairs, and global artistic direction teams
- Optimize customer journey within events and implement digital solutions to enhance engagement
- Coordinate promotional activities and oversee all event staff, including coordinators, catering teams, and support personnel
- Conduct pre-event approvals across all operational and creative components
- Ensure seamless event execution and promptly resolve issues that arise during events
- Analyze event performance metrics and prepare comprehensive reports on outcomes and learnings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning, management, or coordination within the luxury fashion, beauty, or hospitality sector
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic event conceptualization and brand positioning
- Strong vendor management and negotiation capabilities
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control
- Experience coordinating large-scale or complex events involving multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of luxury brand experience design and customer journey optimization
Skills
Experience
5-7 years of progressive event management or marketing experience within luxury goods, beauty, fashion, or hospitality sectors, with demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder events and large budgets.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, Communications, or related field.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan.
