Chanel is hiring an E‑Commerce Distribution Supervisor in Croydon to lead online fulfilment operations and frontline teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise day‑to‑day e‑commerce distribution and fulfilment activities for the Croydon site, ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched to SLA standards.
- Lead, coach and schedule a frontline team of pickers, packers and dispatch operatives; manage staffing, performance reviews and on‑the‑job training.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations and process audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee returns processing, quality control inspections and refurbishment workflows specific to luxury goods.
- Coordinate carrier relationships and manifesting processes to optimise lead times, costs and parcel tracking performance.
- Monitor and report key operational KPIs (fulfilment accuracy, pick/pack rates, on‑time dispatch, returns turnaround); implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce defects and improve ergonomics and safety.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, GDPR for customer data and Chanel’s internal policies related to product handling and security.
- Collaborate with e‑commerce operations, customer service, merchandising and supply‑chain planning to manage peak periods and promotional events.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience (typically 2+ years) in e‑commerce fulfilment, distribution or warehouse operations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of inventory control, returns management and parcel carrier processes.
- Proven ability to lead and develop frontline teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical capability with experience monitoring and acting on KPIs.
- Right to work in the UK; flexibility to work shift patterns and occasional extended hours during peak trading.

Experience
Typically 2–5 years’ experience in warehouse or e‑commerce fulfilment operations with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role; experience in luxury or high‑value goods distribution is advantageous.
Education
