Chanel is hiring a Digital Media Lead in New South Wales (Sydney) to direct paid social, programmatic and performance media for the brand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the end-to-end digital media strategy across paid social, display, video and programmatic channels to support brand and commercial objectives.
  • Plan, oversee and optimise media budgets, media mix and channel allocation to maximise return on investment and customer acquisition metrics.
  • Lead campaign execution with internal teams and external media/creative agencies, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, creative briefs and timelines.
  • Establish measurement frameworks and reporting dashboards; analyse performance data to generate insights and recommendations for continuous optimisation.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders — CRM, e‑commerce, creative, legal and local markets — to ensure integrated and locally compliant campaign delivery.
  • Line‑manage and mentor junior media specialists, fostering a high‑performance culture and developing team capabilities in new channels and tools.
  • Own audience strategy, targeting, segmentation and experimentation (A/B and multivariate testing) to scale acquisition and retention.
  • Maintain awareness of platform policies, privacy changes and industry best practices (e.g., cookieless solutions) and translate impacts into media plans.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in digital media leadership for premium or consumer brands, with demonstrable success scaling paid channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing multi‑market media budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
  • Advanced analytical ability with experience translating complex data into actionable marketing decisions.
  • Experience managing agency partners and cross‑functional stakeholder relationships in fast‑paced environments.
