Chanel seeks a Digital Marketing Specialist (Fragrance & Beauty) in Tokyo to lead paid media, e‑commerce and digital campaigns for the Japan market.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, plan and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns for fragrance and beauty categories in the Japanese market, aligned with global brand guidelines.
  • Manage paid media across search, social and programmatic channels (briefing, execution, optimization and reporting) to drive awareness, acquisition and e‑commerce performance.
  • Collaborate with creative, product, retail and regional teams to adapt global assets for local markets and ensure brand consistency across channels.
  • Oversee site merchandising and content for the local e‑commerce experience, including SEO/SEM optimisation and product launches.
  • Partner with external agencies and internal stakeholders to manage budgets, timelines and campaign delivery while ensuring robust measurement and ROI.
  • Develop regular performance reports and actionable insights using analytics to optimise funnel conversion, lifetime value and marketing efficiency.
  • Support CRM and lifecycle marketing initiatives (email, SMS, loyalty touchpoints) in coordination with clienteling and CRM teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital marketing within beauty, luxury goods or premium consumer brands.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and optimising paid media campaigns across search and social channels.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience translating data into tactical and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional and regional teams, and managing external agencies and vendors.
  • Comfortable managing campaign budgets, KPIs and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of hands‑on digital marketing experience, ideally with direct exposure to beauty or luxury retail and measurable success managing paid media and e‑commerce performance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline preferred.
