Chanel seeks Digital Content & Engagement Manager in Paris for 6-month contract. Lead digital platforms strategy across watches and fine jewelry division.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the content and engagement roadmap for CHANEL.com, mobile applications, and local digital touchpoints, ensuring alignment with business priorities and platform evolution
- Develop and deploy digital content strategy, product discovery capabilities, and e-merchandising initiatives to strengthen visibility, consistency, desirability, and customer engagement around campaigns, collections, and product launches
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative Direction, Regional, Market, IT/Corporate, Publishing, CRM, and Customer Experience teams to translate strategic ambitions into clear digital briefs, priorities, and deliverables
- Structure, qualify, and prioritize incoming requests with transparent prioritization, realistic planning, dependency management, workload visibility, and streamlined decision-making among stakeholders
- Oversee content operations evolution and contribution processes, identifying simplification and quality improvement opportunities to enhance deployment capability across all markets and languages
- Analyze platform performance and customer behavior to produce actionable recommendations optimizing customer journey, content strategy, product visibility, engagement, and satisfaction
- Lead SEO and GEO optimization initiatives to enhance organic search visibility, discoverability, and content relevance across search engines, internal search, and LLM environments
- Contribute to major transformation programs including headless platform redesigns, PIM enhancements, internal search improvements, e-merchandising tool selection, and omnichannel CMS deployment
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of internal and external content and engagement experts, fostering clear prioritization, balanced workload distribution, high delivery quality, strong team cohesion, and continuous talent development
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within luxury, retail, e-commerce, digital platforms, content strategy, or customer experience sectors
- Demonstrated expertise in digital content strategy, e-merchandising, product discovery, and user engagement across websites, mobile applications, and local digital ecosystems
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating internal and external contributors
- Strong capability to structure, prioritize, and arbitrate complex roadmaps involving multiple stakeholders, business needs, and technical dependencies
- Proficiency in analyzing performance data, customer insights, and digital metrics to formulate clear, actionable recommendations
- Mastery of CMS contribution environments, product data management (PIM) tools, and digital asset management (DAM) processes
- Solid understanding of headless architectures, front-end constraints, UX principles, SEO, search functionality, analytics, and digital performance optimization
- Excellent partner management and written/oral communication skills in both French and English

Experience
8–10 years of professional experience in digital content strategy, e-commerce, digital platforms, or customer experience within luxury, retail, or high-end consumer goods sectors. Proven track record managing complex digital initiatives across multiple markets and languages in a matrix environment.
Education
Advanced degree in Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
