Chanel seeks a Deputy Boutique Manager for Dubai Duty Free in Dubai — lead sales, clienteling and boutique operations for a premier Chanel travel-retail location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Boutique Manager in driving sales performance and achieving revenue targets for the Dubai Duty Free boutique.
- Lead, coach and motivate the boutique team to deliver exceptional luxury client experiences and high standards of presentation.
- Oversee daily boutique operations including opening/closing procedures, rostering, inventory control and loss-prevention measures.
- Implement Chanel clienteling practices and CRM processes to cultivate high-value relationships and maximise repeat business.
- Ensure visual merchandising and product presentation meet Chanel guidelines and adapt displays to the travel-retail environment.
- Manage stock receipt, transfers and reconciliations; liaise with Duty Free operational teams and regional logistics as required.
- Deliver ongoing training and performance feedback; conduct briefings and support talent development and succession planning.
- Prepare operational and sales reports, escalate exceptions, and enforce compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in luxury retail or travel-retail, with a track record of meeting sales targets.
- Demonstrable expertise in clienteling and delivering premium service to high-net-worth and international clientele.
- Strong operational knowledge of inventory control, visual merchandising and store procedures within a boutique setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse retail team.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays typical of an airport duty-free environment.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in luxury retail or travel retail, including supervisory or assistant-manager responsibilities; prior exposure to duty-free operations is highly advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in retail management, business, hospitality or a related discipline preferred.
