Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the end‑to‑end delivery strategy, ensuring on‑time, in‑full fulfilment across e‑commerce, store replenishment and wholesale channels.
- Oversee external carriers, logistics partners and last‑mile providers — define SLAs, negotiate commercial terms and manage service governance.
- Monitor and report on delivery KPIs (OTIF, lead times, cost‑to‑serve, claims) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve customer experience.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activity with e‑commerce, warehouse/3PL teams, customer service and retail operations to resolve escalations and optimise flows.
- Manage a small internal team or matrixed stakeholders responsible for daily dispatch, exception handling and carrier performance.
- Implement and maintain compliance with international transport regulations, customs requirements and insurance policies where applicable.
- Lead projects for process automation, routing optimisation, returns management and scalable last‑mile solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven track record in delivery, distribution or transport operations within retail or e‑commerce environments.
- Experience managing carrier relationships and negotiating operational contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to define and deliver against KPI frameworks and continuous improvement programmes.
- Strong analytical capability with experience in cost‑to‑serve, root‑cause analysis and operational reporting.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years in logistics, distribution or transport operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role; prior exposure to e‑commerce fulfilment and last‑mile delivery is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, business administration, or equivalent professional experience.
