Chanel hiring Data Products & Stewardship Manager in Singapore to lead data governance and quality initiatives across Fashion, Beauty & Perfume division.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices across FBP business units
- Manage data quality frameworks and implement monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Lead data stewardship initiatives and coordinate with business stakeholders to define data ownership models
- Oversee data product strategy and roadmap, aligning with business priorities and technical capabilities
- Conduct data discovery, classification, and metadata management across enterprise systems
- Drive organizational change through training, documentation, and governance communication
- Collaborate with IT, analytics, and business teams to resolve data-related issues and optimize data utilization
- Monitor regulatory compliance (GDPR, data privacy) and implement necessary controls and audit trails
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in data governance, data quality management, or data stewardship (5+ years)
- Proficiency with data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) principles
- Expertise in data compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, industry-specific regulations)
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capabilities
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa
Skills
Experience
5 years of progressive experience in data governance, data quality, or data stewardship roles within enterprise environments, preferably in luxury, retail, or consumer goods sectors. Proven track record in implementing data governance programs, establishing data quality metrics, and driving organizational adoption of data best practices.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced certifications in data governance (e.g., CDGP, IAIDW) are advantageous.
