Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Fashion Advisors during ready-to-wear sales ceremonies to advise clients and ensure optimal garment fit
  • Take precise measurements on garments and position pins according to Chanel's established fitting protocols
  • Propose tailored alterations that adapt each piece to the unique morphology of individual clients
  • Complete and verify alteration cards, ensuring consistency and accuracy before inputting measurements into the CASS database
  • Conduct final fittings and oversee the complete alteration process from basting through finished seams
  • Guarantee proper reception of altered garments by clients or Fashion Advisors upon completion
  • Identify and discreetly recommend appropriate alterations in alignment with Studio design intent
  • Evaluate alteration timelines and communicate feasibility, cost estimates, and potential impact on garments to clients
  • Assemble and finish garments to premium standards, preparing them for client delivery
  • Present alteration expertise and technical specifications during Morning Briefs for team education
  • Maintain comprehensive traceability of all alteration cards through accurate CASS documentation
  • Track leather and knitwear pieces sent to external specialist partners
  • Monitor supply and material levels, ordering replenishments as needed and verifying machine and tool condition
  • Master fitting ceremony protocols and assess feasibility of complex alteration requests
