Chanel seeks a Counter Manager in Calgary to lead the beauty counter, drive sales and deliver exceptional client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Chanel beauty counter, ensuring impeccable brand presentation and adherence to Chanel visual and service standards.
- Recruit, train, coach and develop counter staff to maximise product knowledge, client advisory skills and sales performance.
- Drive sales and KPI performance through effective clienteling, merchandising, promotional execution and tactical prioritisation.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment and shrinkage prevention in coordination with store and regional teams.
- Create and maintain bespoke client experiences including consultations, in-store events and private appointments to cultivate loyalty and lifetime value.
- Prepare regular sales, forecasting and staffing reports; implement corrective actions to reach targets.
- Coordinate with store management, regional retail leadership and the brand merchandising team to execute launches and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, luxury service protocols and health & safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in luxury beauty or cosmetics retail, ideally managing a concession/counter team.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs in a high‑end retail environment.
- Strong leadership and people-development skills with experience coaching teams to high performance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach with proven clienteling ability.
- Sound inventory and loss-prevention knowledge and experience with scheduling and rostering.
- Flexible availability to work retail hours, weekends and peak trading periods.
- Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication; additional languages are an asset.

Typically requires several years of progressive experience in luxury cosmetics or beauty retail, including demonstrable team management and sales leadership at a concession or boutique counter level.
Education
High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, retail management, cosmetology or a related field is an asset.
