Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and release analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished beauty and fragrance products according to established methods and SOPs.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments including GC-MS, HPLC and spectrophotometers; ensure instrument calibration and performance verification.
  • Prepare samples, execute validated test methods, record and interpret analytical data and produce accurate laboratory reports.
  • Manage sample traceability and documentation in LIMS and paper records; ensure full compliance with GMP, internal quality procedures and regulatory requirements applicable to cosmetics and fragrances.
  • Execute stability and ageing studies, participate in product release decisions and support stability claim investigations.
  • Support non-conformance investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA) in collaboration with QA and production teams.
  • Contribute to method transfers, validation activities and continuous improvement of laboratory processes and SOPs.
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping, enforce health & safety standards and ensure proper storage and handling of chemical reagents.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent (BTS/DUT, Bachelor or vocational qualification).
  • Practical experience in an analytical laboratory environment — preferably within cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceuticals or consumer goods.
  • Proven competence with instrumental techniques (GC-MS, HPLC, UV-Vis/FTIR) and standard wet-chemistry assays.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO 22716 and laboratory quality systems; experience with LIMS highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, methodical record-keeping and the ability to work to deadlines under regulated conditions.

Experience
