Chanel seeks Compensation & Benefits Manager for France & Monaco market. Lead compensation strategy, analytics, and cost management for fashion and beauty operations in Paris.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee deployment of Group compensation policies and adapt them to France & Monaco market needs, ensuring internal equity and alignment with retail dynamics
  • Conduct market benchmarking for compensation, monitor labor market evolution, and formulate strategic recommendations to maintain competitive positioning
  • Pilot annual salary review and bonus campaigns across all three business segments, ensuring equity and coherence of decisions while balancing global principles with local retail realities
  • Lead job evaluation and classification analyses to refine internal job mapping and reinforce organizational consistency across divisions and functions
  • Build, consolidate, and analyze headcount and salary mass budgets in close collaboration with business leaders, HR business partners, and the finance department
  • Develop and present strategic HR and financial reporting to market leadership; feed consolidated reports to the Europe region in compliance with established formats and timelines
  • Design and deploy dashboards of people indicators and benchmarking tools (compensation, headcount, FTE, movements, absenteeism) to support data-driven decision-making for HR and business leaders
  • Conduct in-depth analytical studies to identify people trends, validate organizational evolution, and drive ad-hoc operational efficiency improvement projects
  • Manage a direct report (Compensation & Benefits Coordinator) and represent the France market within the global Compensation & Benefits expert community

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in compensation and/or social cost management within an international group, preferably in retail or multi-site environments
  • Recognized for rigor, discretion, and strong analytical and synthesis capabilities
  • Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of economic logic; ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Agile team player with strong service orientation and comfort working cross-functionally in matrix environments
  • Mastery of Excel and proficiency with HRIS systems and data visualization tools; familiarity with job evaluation methodologies (e.g., GGS) is an asset
  • Fluent English enabling smooth operation in an international environment
