Fondation CHANEL seeks Communications Officer in London to support internal and external communications, leadership engagement, and stakeholder relations. Permanent role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver internal communications that strengthen alignment, transparency, and engagement across global teams, including leadership updates and strategic announcements
- Support the research and drafting of speeches, talking points, and strategic communications for senior leaders
- Design creative internal storytelling approaches that connect colleagues to the foundation's mission and impact
- Monitor the external environment to identify emerging issues relevant to organisational work and contribute to proactive planning
- Prepare briefings and stakeholder updates highlighting impact, milestones, and strategic developments to strengthen trusted relationships
- Support the development and maintenance of communications tools, guidelines, and processes that enable consistent and efficient communications
- Collaborate with programme teams to translate complex work into clear, engaging communications materials
- Demonstrate expertise in leveraging new technologies and digital platforms to explore new storytelling avenues
Qualifications
- 5–6 years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or institutional communications
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, including experience drafting for senior leadership
- Demonstrated experience supporting internal communications in complex or global organisations
- Strong judgment and ability to navigate reputational risk and sensitive issues
- Creative communication skills with an eye for compelling storytelling and engagement
- Ability to produce designed communications materials with attention to visual identity and guidelines
- Highly collaborative with a track record of working across diverse teams and cultures
- Experience in corporate philanthropy or mission-driven organisations is advantageous
Skills
Experience
5–6 years of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, institutional communications, or related roles within complex or global organisations. Prior experience supporting internal communications and working with senior leadership on messaging and engagement is essential.
Education
Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field is typically expected; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
