Chanel is recruiting a Communications Executive in Taipei to manage local PR, events and media relations for the brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute local communications strategies and plans that align with global brand directives and local market priorities.
- Manage media relations across lifestyle, fashion and beauty press; draft and distribute press materials, media advisories and Q&As.
- Coordinate product launches, in-store events, press previews and influencer engagements in Taipei, overseeing logistics, guest lists and on-site execution.
- Act as the primary liaison between regional/global communications teams and local press, ensuring messaging consistency and timely approvals.
- Monitor local media coverage and sentiment; prepare regular reports and performance analyses for senior stakeholders.
- Support crisis and issues communications, drafting reactive statements and coordinating rapid response with legal and regional teams.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key journalists, editors, stylists and local cultural partners to amplify brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and professional proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in PR/communications, ideally within luxury fashion, beauty or lifestyle sectors and with a strong understanding of the Taiwan media landscape.
- Proven track record managing events, product launches and media campaigns, with an established local press and influencer network.
- High level of discretion, cultural sensitivity and ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Experience
At least 3 years of hands-on communications or public relations experience, preferably within luxury fashion or beauty brands, with demonstrated success executing local media campaigns, managing events and liaising with regional/global teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent; significant proven experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
