Chanel internship in Paris: Merchandising Intern supporting small leather goods collection strategy, showroom prep, and competitive intelligence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in the structuring of 3–4 collections across the internship period, developing detailed plans by theme, silhouette, price point, materials, and color palette
- Coordinate with Retail Merchandising to track collection development from prototype discovery through model archival updates and offer sizing
- Construct product content and purchasing tools to facilitate buyer decision-making
- Contribute to collection briefing materials and selection of featured products for press, web, and visual merchandising
- Prepare collection presentations for market audiences
- Generate quantitative and qualitative purchase analyses and reports for studio and operations teams
- Draft product communication copy for chanel.com
- Review and contribute to boutique training materials
- Monitor fashion trends and competitor activity, including Fashion Week coverage and monthly competitive newsletters
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a business school or specialized master's programme in Fashion or Luxury
- Significant prior experience in fashion or luxury sectors preferred
- Demonstrated passion for fashion and creative design
- Strong organizational and anticipation skills with efficient priority management
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
