Chanel is hiring a Client Insights Manager (Fashion) in Shanghai. Lead customer analytics, segmentation and CRM insights to drive retail performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, run and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses to surface commercial insights on luxury fashion clients and customer journeys.
- Develop client segmentation, lifetime value models and propensity scoring to inform targeting, clienteling and CRM strategies.
- Build and maintain dashboards and regular reporting (sales, retention, campaign KPIs), translating data into clear, actionable recommendations for retail, marketing and e‑commerce teams.
- Measure and optimise campaign performance and client conversion across channels; define success metrics and A/B test business hypotheses.
- Work cross-functionally with retail operations, CRM, merchandising and digital teams to embed insights into the commercial plan and store-level actions.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and analytics vendors; ensure high standards of data quality, governance and documentation.
- Present findings to senior stakeholders and local management, tailoring narratives to commercial priorities and operational constraints.
- Coach and mentor junior analysts and contribute to capability building across the local organisation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or a related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in customer insights, CRM analytics or retail analytics — preferably within luxury fashion or premium retail.
- Proven ability to translate complex analysis into pragmatic commercial recommendations and to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, with experience briefing senior leadership.

Experience
Typically 3–6 years of progressive experience in customer or commercial insights, CRM analytics, or retail analytics. Prior exposure to luxury or fashion retail environments and experience translating insights into store-level actions is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
