Chanel in Tokyo seeks a Client Data Analytics Intern to support CRM analysis, reporting and dashboards for client insights.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the client analytics team with cleansing, consolidating and preparing CRM and transactional datasets for analysis.
- Deliver routine and ad-hoc analyses to profile clients, quantify segments and measure campaign performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visual reports to translate data into actionable insights for retail, marketing and clienteling teams.
- Assist in designing and running A/B tests and uplift analyses to evaluate promotional and CRM initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and CRM administrators to ensure data integrity, tagging consistency and adherence to data governance standards.
- Automate repetitive data processes (ETL) and contribute to the optimisation of reporting pipelines.
- Summarise findings in concise slide decks and present insights to stakeholders with clear commercial recommendations.
- Respect strict confidentiality and brand-appropriate handling of high-value client information.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude with rigorous attention to data quality and detail.
- Clear commercial awareness and ability to translate analytical output into retail or CRM action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex results simply to non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client data.

Experience
Internship-level role; preferable to have coursework or prior internship experience in analytics, CRM, retail analytics or marketing measurement. No extensive professional experience required; demonstrable project work or academic projects in data analysis is advantageous.
Education
Enrolled undergraduate or postgraduate student in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
