Chanel seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Istanbul to lead finance, reporting and strategy for its Turkish operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership for Chanel's operations in Turkey, owning the P&L and long-term financial planning for the country business.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and rolling business plans in partnership with commercial and retail leadership to support revenue and margin objectives.
- Oversee month‑end and year‑end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP) and group reporting requirements.
- Manage treasury, cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation across retail and wholesale channels.
- Design, implement and monitor robust internal controls, financial policies and compliance processes; lead external and internal audit processes.
- Lead tax planning and liaise with external advisors and authorities on corporate tax, indirect taxes and customs matters.
- Partner with HR, Legal and Operations to evaluate investments, capital expenditure and store development projects; contribute to commercial decision-making with rigorous financial analysis.
- Build, develop and mentor a high-performing local finance team and represent the finance function with senior stakeholders including Group HQ.
- Oversee financial systems, reporting tools and process improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven senior finance leader with significant P&L responsibility, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, beauty or premium consumer goods.
- Deep knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls in a multi‑channel retail environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing audits, tax affairs and regulatory relationships in a complex market.
- Strong leadership track record, with experience building and developing cross‑functional finance teams.
- Comfortable presenting to executive stakeholders and coordinating with an international corporate headquarters.
- Professional credentials (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or an advanced degree (MBA/MSc) preferred.

Experience
Extensive progressive finance experience, typically 10+ years, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing finance for multi‑channel retail or luxury brands. Demonstrated track record of driving financial performance, implementing controls and leading cross‑functional initiatives in a multinational environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; advanced degree (MBA or MSc) or professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
