Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale terminal and process all payment methods accurately (cash, card, contactless and mobile payments).
- Maintain accuracy of the cash drawer, perform end-of-day reconciliations and follow cash-handling procedures and security protocols.
- Deliver high-touch, discreet client service at checkout, ensuring a seamless luxury experience consistent with Chanel standards.
- Process returns, exchanges and receipts in accordance with boutique policy and document transactions in the CRM/POS system.
- Collaborate with sales advisors and store management to support client appointments, inventory replenishment and boutique presentation.
- Maintain a pristine checkout area, assist with gift-wrapping and ensure merchandising and store presentation standards are upheld.
Qualifications
- Professional presentation and exemplary grooming consistent with a luxury retail environment.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and the ability to work with transactional systems accurately under pace.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; tactful, discreet and client-focused demeanour.
- Availability to work retail hours including weekends and peak periods; flexibility for a fixed-term assignment (CDD).
- Legal right to work in France.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in retail cashiering or front-line sales within a premium or luxury environment is preferred; 1–2 years is desirable. Experience in flagship or high-traffic boutiques is an advantage.
Education
Secondary education (baccalauréat or equivalent) or vocational training in retail/hospitality preferred.
