Chanel seeks a Cashier at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in Paris. Fixed-term role delivering exceptional client service at the boutique checkout.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate the point-of-sale terminal accurately and efficiently, processing cash, card and contactless payments while ensuring compliance with payment security procedures.
  • Deliver discreet, high-standard client service at the checkout, including handling returns, exchanges and special requests in keeping with Chanel's brand protocols.
  • Prepare and process receipts, invoices and tax-free documentation for international clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage cash drawer: open/close procedures, daily cash reconciliation and reporting of any discrepancies to store management.
  • Collaborate with sales advisors and visual merchandising to maintain an immaculate checkout area and facilitate smooth client flow during peak periods.
  • Support loss-prevention measures by following store security procedures and reporting suspicious activity or incidents promptly.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a cashier or front-of-house retail role; experience in luxury retail is advantageous.
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail and proven ability to perform accurate cash reconciliations.
  • Professional demeanour, discretion and polished client-facing communication appropriate to a luxury environment.
  • Availability to work retail hours typical of a major department store (including weekends and peak trading periods).
  • Legal right to work in France and ability to commute to Galeries Lafayette Haussmann.

Experience
