Chanel in Florence seeks a temporary Cashier for boutique retail: transaction processing, cash reconciliation and high-level client service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale terminal to process cash, card and mobile payments accurately and efficiently.
- Manage and reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift; prepare deposits and cash reports per store procedures.
- Deliver exemplary, personalised client service consistent with Chanel’s luxury standards, including handling receipts, refunds and exchanges.
- Uphold company policies on cash handling, fraud prevention and data privacy; escalate irregularities to management.
- Support the sales floor by assisting clients, maintaining merchandising standards and ensuring a polished boutique environment.
- Collaborate with store management to meet daily transaction targets and support opening/closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven integrity and meticulous attention to numerical accuracy in cash handling.
- Previous experience in retail cashiering or front-line retail sales, preferably within a luxury or premium environment.
- Availability and flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays; adaptable to temporary contract scheduling.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first attitude and professional presentation.
- Legal right to work in Italy.

Experience
Preferably 1–2 years of cashier or retail sales experience, ideally within luxury retail or a high-volume boutique environment. Candidates with solid transaction handling and client-service experience will be prioritised.
Education
Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
