Chanel is hiring a Care & Repair Advisor in Vancouver — client-facing aftercare and luxury leather repair role at Chanel Vancouver.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, client-facing aftercare and repair consultations for Chanel leather goods and accessories, diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate restoration solutions.
- Execute or coordinate repair and restoration work to Chanel technical and aesthetic standards, including stitching, edge finishing, hardware replacement, and surface treatments.
- Liaise closely with in-house ateliers, external workshops and central aftercare teams to manage repair timelines, quality control and returns.
- Perform final quality inspections and finishing to ensure repairs meet brand specifications before client return.
- Maintain accurate repair records, track work orders, and update clients on repair status using the boutique’s repair management processes.
- Advise clients on product maintenance, proper care routines and warranty/aftercare options to prolong product life and reinforce brand loyalty.
- Manage repair-related stock, tools and consumables in the boutique, ensuring compliance with safety and brand housekeeping standards.
- Support retail sales and clienteling initiatives when required, providing technical product knowledge to sales advisors and clients.
Qualifications
- Vocational training or diploma in leathercraft, footwear/handbag repair, fashion technology, or equivalent practical apprenticeship experience.
- Professional experience in leather goods repair, atelier restoration or a luxury aftercare environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity and a demonstrable portfolio or references of repair work on premium leather items.
- Strong client-service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and courteously.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada and flexibility to work retail hours, including occasional weekends.
Skills
Experience
Approximately 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing luxury leather goods or in an atelier/aftercare setting; prior boutique or client-facing experience in a premium brand environment is highly desirable.
Education
Vocational diploma in leathercraft, fashion technology, or equivalent practical apprenticeship; equivalent demonstrable experience considered acceptable.
