Business Finance Manager at Chanel in Hong Kong – Lead financial planning, analytics, and regional consolidation for North Asia markets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee budget and forecast governance, end-to-end processes, and development across the North Asia region
- Monitor and analyze cost variances and exposures to protect margin and manage economic expenses
- Design and execute ad-hoc financial analyses incorporating data integrity checks and balance protocols
- Review, challenge, and monitor KPIs and automated reports to support business decision-making
- Analyze and articulate variances between budgeted and actual financial results with medium and long-term implications
- Conduct consolidation activities to provide accurate and timely performance information to regional management
- Monitor and enforce adoption of budget and forecast guidelines across business units
- Serve as referent for global teams on forecast and actuals topics
- Provide cross-functional and cross-market ad-hoc analysis in close collaboration with Business Finance teams
- Consolidate, measure, and challenge SG&A expenses across North Asia
- Facilitate assessment, development, and implementation of technological tools and systems
- Coach colleagues on functionality and application of financial systems and reporting tools
- Proactively identify innovative solutions to optimize data analysis, modeling, and reporting processes
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Thorough knowledge of accounting, financial planning, and analysis concepts and principles
- Solid experience in the finance department of a multinational organization
- Hands-on experience with controlling, budget analysis, and finance systems
- Proficiency with IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1), Hyperion tools (HFM, Planning & Analytics), or comparable consolidation and reporting platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Fluent English
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively within complex organizational structures
Skills
Experience
Solid experience acquired in the finance department of a multinational company, with demonstrated expertise in controlling, budget analysis, and hands-on work with finance systems. Experience with IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1), Hyperion tools (HFM, Planning & Analytics), or other consolidation and reporting platforms is a significant advantage.
Education
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines preferred.
